Yoga, Bouquets & Brunch!
Yoga, Bouquets & Brunch!
x
What do flowers and yoga have in common? Research shows that they both lead to positive emotions, there are infinite ways to arrange stems and our bodies, and they both offer a gift that can be passed on to others. Join Kiera of Primed OD, and Vanessa of Garden Gate Farms for Yoga, Bouquets & Brunch on August 25 1-3pm at Schoolmaster Hill in Franklin Park. Like the loving kindness meditation, we’ll practice a heart opening sequence, intended to embody the expression of love to ourselves and others, arrange floral bouquets and as outward expression of love, learn how to care for and offer longevity to your bouquets, and fill up on nourishing delights. One thing we can always use more of in this world is loving kindness - let’s put it into practice!

Studio Classes
Slow Flow & Roll
Roll over, then flow in. In this class we will use a combination of slow flow yoga, massage therapy balls, and breathwork to observe our practice with more subtlety. We will explore where we might unknowingly be holding patterns of deep tension that prevent us from true ease and freedom. We will then work therapeutically to help improve both mobility and stability and alleviate pain. Expect to activate the body in a strong yet gentle way with movement, as well as linger for longer periods with the massage balls to give our muscles, connective tissues, and our mind a place to reset and find sustainable balance.
Livestream participants can use available home props such as tennis balls, dryer balls, small cans, etc...
Mixed Levels
Thursdays 7am & Fridays 4pm @ JP Centre Yoga
This flow-based (vinyasa) styled class unites movement and form. Designed for new and experienced students alike, classes are intended to be vigorous, yet made accessible with a variety of options within poses. Expect to engage in dynamic movement with integrated deep, long holds. This style of yoga builds core power, stretches, strengthens and cleanses the body, and offers the opportunity for deep healing and release. Our intent in all our classes is to build a non-competitive environment where students are invited to move at their own pace.
Restorative
Sunday’s 6pm @ Back Bay Yoga Union
This class will be a series of restorative yoga poses, each designed to help you rest, relax, and connect to a deep sense of stillness. If you’re new to restorative yoga, it involves resting for extended periods of time (often between 2-6 minutes) in yoga poses with the support of props like blankets, bolsters and blocks. With the support of the props, you’ll begin to release effort in the poses, allowing your body to rest and your mind to observe subtleties of the breath and the moment.
1:1 - Group Classes - Events
For any person tending to their livelihood, yoga is a place stay grounded on your chosen path. The movement, breath, and mindfulness components of the practice allows those engage with it to tune in more closely to their inner experience, understand themselves better, and make better choices to regulate themselves in a more attuned way.
My instruction helps busy people stay connected with their health. It is based on the Physiyoga approach, which combines physical therapy principles with more traditional yoga. I’ll use knowledge of joint mechanics and muscle physiology to teach movements for longevity in our gate and posture and injury recovery. With private instruction, we can create a targeted approach to your practice that focuses on breaking suboptimal patterns to create new, healthy and efficient movement.
My 1-hr sessions include:
Initial movement assessment
1-hr customized sequence each session
“Take-home” recommendations for self-massage, rehabilitation, mindful movement, and emotional regulation
Yoga where convenient! At home or virtual, at work or on vacation, let’s make movement work!
Groups and event-based classes include:
1-hr + customized sequence
Personalized playlist
Post-session debrief with guests (~15-20 min.)
Rates
Private Instruction (per household): $75-$150/hr*
Corporate Group Classes and Private events: $150-$175/hr*
